Sabie is a lovely little town and we really enjoyed our stay. The vendors can be a bit of a bother when moving through the town as well as the local drivers are impatient, but over all we will definitely be seeing Sabie again in the future.

Very small town so its fine to stay for a weekend and experience but not much longer, if you not doing adventures activities, not much else to do.

Picturesque, fresh mountains and views.
Picturesque, fresh mountains and views. Clean, crisp air and pure water at certain venues. The roads need help, but most areas in South Africa do. Abundant wildlife and vistas to choose from. Everything is rather close and easy to navigate.

Beautiful waterfalls in and around Sabie.
Beautiful waterfalls in and around Sabie. Roads getting there a bit of a challenge though. Lots of good eateries. Day trips around the area recommended. Many hiking trails for the more energetic. I braaied every day, as nothing beats a dip in the pool and braaiing on the huge deck with the fabulous view.

Pros: Amazing location. Beautiful rolling hills and valleys.
Pros: Amazing location. Beautiful rolling hills and valleys. Great vistas. Local hikes are available (but we did not have time to enjoy) Famous for the its waterfalls.
Cons: when venturing off main paved roads, the road conditions are very poor. It took us 35 minutes to travel 8 km so do not use google maps travel times when going off the main roads
The views and location were excellent. Situated just outside of Sabie and the panorama route, it was easy to get around explore from our doorstep. Breakfast was excellent with a decent selection and dinner, in a pinch was also great! We made use of the Toboggan ride which was a lot of fun and our only regret was not staying longer to make use of the other activities which were available!
Lots of thought and effort have gone into this lovely place, and it shows. The rooms are comfortable and attractive, with touches of warmth, and the rest of the facilities— the pool, the lounge, the honor bar with the awesome view of Sabie Canyon— are all great! Breakfast was superb! The wifi is the best I have found in my two weeks here.
Hmmmmm their buffet breakfast 😋👌.
The owners were very friendly also very helpful to us, it was our first time in Mpumalanga, Sabie but they made it easy for us to from their map with all the places of adventures, being able to advise us which better route to take as we were going back home. You guys are awesome 🙌🤗💖
It was more like home away from home. It had most of the things one needs; separated rooms as well as bathrooms for the kids upstairs and ours ground floor. Generally my wife and kids liked it. The generator kicks in immediately for lights during load shedding. The kitchen had all we needed for self catering.
The chalets were nestled within beautiful mountains and scenery. My parents and I absolutely enjoyed our stay. The hostess, Sharon was very welcoming and advised me about the routes to take when touring the area. Our stay at Sabie Star was a very pleasant and memorable experience.
It a very refreshing environment, a flowing river around the units. I stayed in the self catering unit, everything we needed was there. The garden is maintained, beautiful scenery from within. Heated pool and cold pool, also many activities for kids. It is indeed a beautiful place.
space in the unit, everyone was able to relax in comfort. The way the unit was supplied with all necessary items for self catering. The braai area. Ample chairs and tables. The river running through the property, the birds and scenery of the mountains. The pool was great too.
I have done many bookings with Bookings.com, even in Hong Kong, but never have we been so welcomed and made to feel at home like at Sabie Peak View, the friendliness and hospitality off the Owner and Staff were excellent. We will definitely book here again.
The place was welcoming, the staff was friendly, we interacted with the night shift guy named Sizwe who was very helpful. Kids enjoyed the heated pool as well as the play ground. Sabie river camp is a home away from home.
Unbelievable value for money, it's a huge house and really well organised self catering accommodation. Absolutely stunning views out to the mountains with a beautiful garden overlooked by a great veranda.
This trip to Sabie was a wonderful experience we were more than happy with the accomodation and friendliness of everybody. We can definitely recommend Sabie self catering apartments.
Perfect. Cosy apartment with all facilities. Great views, close to restaurants. Excellent, friendly and helpful hosts. The best place to stay in Sabie.
